It's that time again... when we just have to leave the country and explore a bit more of the world! We are headed for Central America!! For two months, we will be working and traveling throughout Nicaragua, Panama, and a little bit of Costa Rica.
In Nicaragua, we will be working with Just Hope (www.justhope.org) for most of March in a little community called Chacraseca (just outside the big city of Leon). Stacen will be officially serving as a doctor (!), and Nicole will be helping as much as she can with the clinic, as well as exploring and researching her favorite subject in the world... toilets! We hope this intrigues you.
For most of April, we will be working with Floating Doctors (floatingdoctors.com) in Bocas del Toro, Panama, an archipelago of several hundred islands. This tropical paradise has over 250 indigenous communities without any access to roads. So we will be hopping into a boat each morning to be part of mobile medical clinics. Once again, doctoring, helping, and daydreaming will be our activities.
We will finish off with a week in Costa Rica before heading back to the States!
